Mavs sign six for '09-'10 school year

 

Mesa State Head Coach Jim Heaps and Associate Head Coach/Recruiting Coordinator Andy Shantz have announced the 2009-'10 signing class.

 



Tanner Adams
– 6’5, Forward, So., Salt Lake City, Utah
Central Wyoming College
Started every game in Central Wyoming’s inaugural season…Averaged 12.0 points and 5 rebounds per game…Helped lead team to a 19-11 overall record.

 

Michael Dominguez – 6’3, Guard, Sr., Espanola, New Mexico
Florida International University / Northeastern Community College
Started 30 games and led the team in minutes played…Averaged 10 points and 4 rebounds per game…Shot 79% from the free throw line and finished the season with 76 made 3-pointers.

At Northeastern Community College – Two-year starter in which the team recorded a 64-6 overall record…Team finished 7th nationally in 2007...Back-to-back Region 9 Titles…All-Region as a sophomore where he connected on 86 treys…As a prep he attended Capitol High School in New Mexico capturing a state championship in 2004 and 25-1 overall record…Averaged 18 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds per game.

 

Lance Fite – 6’7, Post, Jr., Glendale, Arizona
Glendale Community College
Averaged 16 points and 9 rebounds…Selected Second Team All-Conference…Named Third Team All-Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC)…Team finished 18-13.

 

Russell Gregory – 6’3, Wing, Jr., Fresno, California
Fresno Community College
Helped lead the team to a 30-8 overall record and a state championship as a freshman…As a sophomore he averaged 10 points, 42% from the 3-point line…First Team All Central Valley Conference…Team finished 34-1 overall.

 

Clay Kame – 6’1, Guard, Fr., Grand Junction, Colorado
Central High School
Averaged 13 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals his senior year…Helped lead Central to its first 20-win season in 10 years with a record of 20-5…First Team All-Conference…All-State Honorable Mention.

 

Kevin Screen – 5’10, Guard, Fr., Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Glenwood Springs High School
Averaged 19.3 points, 4 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game…4A Western Slope League Player of the Year…All-State Honorable Mention.
