Provencher Signs Independent Baseball Contract

Former Maverick Mike Provencher signed an independent baseball contract yesterday afternoon. Provencher will play third base for the El Paso Diablos of the American Association of Baseball.
Mike was an All-American shortstop in 2008 before moving to right field this season. He was named an All-Central Region Outfielder by the ABCA and Daktronics.
Mike played his first game last night and went 2-for-3 with a double.
